Welcome (Baruch Ha Ba) – Blessed those who come, when you arrive you are blessed. Arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport, assistance at the airport and transfer to Tel-Aviv. Start off your trip with a welcome dinner overlooking the Mediterranean shores. Check-in and relax at your hotel.
Stroll through the picturesque alleyways of Jaffa, visiting the site of Simon the Tanners and to view the ancient port that Jonah embarked from. Stop for a moment of reflection at the site of the assassination of Israel’s PM Rabin. Drive along the coastal shores to Caesarea, the ancient city of Herod, the spot where the Gentiles first received the Holy Spirit. Head north to Haifa for a short panoramic view of Haifa, pass through to the Persian Gardens at the impressive Bahai Temple, visit Muharka, where Elija brought down the God of Baal. Visit Rambam Hospital in Haifa at the hematology & oncology children’s unit. End the tour at Muharka and Mt Carmel, where Elijah defeated the false prophets of Baal bringing fire from the sky. Drive to our hotel for check-in & dinner. Overnight in Haifa.
Start our day early and drive North to Rosh Hanikra, where the rocky cliffs descend steeply into the sea, allowing the waves to carve grottos of a thousand shapes. Take the cable car down to the grottos for fun exploring through the rocky passageways. Drive trough Israel’s costal plane. Continue to Akko- historic walled port-city with continuous settlement beginning in the Phoenician period. A visit to Acre is part of the Israeli experience. The city is a meeting place for East and West, new and old, beauty and ruins, all adding to its uniqueness. We will explore the Chamam (ancient Sauna) and the Templar’s caves - Knights Halls. Bikur Holim – vist the eldery for a time of comfort prior to dinner. Overnight in Haifa.
Begin morning at Mt. Arbel for a spectacular view of the Galilee and a time of personal Bible study, continue to Nazareth to see where Jesus grew up, visit the Church of Annunciation – continue in the footsteps of Jesus, visit Cana – site of the wedding and the very first miracle turning water into wine. Visit Megiddo – 21 layers of civilization, site of one of King Solomon’s City Kingdoms and of the epic Armageddon. Overnight in Galilee
Begin the day on a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, stop at Ginosar and visit a local Museum to see the famous ancient fishing vessel used at the time of Christ, learn about its discovery. Continue around the Sea of Galilee – where Jesus ministered - the Mt of Beatitudes, meditate on the Sermon on the Mount – visit Tabagha, the feeding of the multitude and multination of loaves and fish. Then on to Kfar Nahum (Capernaum) to visit the home of Simon Peter, visit ancient synagogue, in this environment Jesus lived and did some of His teaching (Mathew). Proceed to Bethseda, address the miracles Jesus performed here, and learn the importance of this ancient city as it was located on a very important trade route. Continue around the Sea of Galilee to Yardenit - stop for Baptism in the Jordan River. Free evening at Tiberius, enjoy shopping.
Head south via the Jordan Valley and begin this day at Beit Shean, see one of the most impressive archeological sites ever found. Drive by Jericho (no stopping at Jericho) and visit the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth (417 meter below sea level). After lunch take a dip in the Dead Sea. Participate in rock climbing, rappelling/snapping in the Judean Desert, enjoy a camel ride and dinner at a Bedouin Tent, to go back in time as the days of Abraham for a complete Wilderness Experience. Overnight at Kfar Hanokdim (near Arad).
Sunrise at Masada - ruins of King Herod’s mountaintop fortress and last stronghold of the Jewish revolt against the Romans in 73 C.E (Ascend and descend by cable car). Stop for a visit at Qumran - ruins of the ancient Essene village - site of the first discovery of the Dead Sea scrolls, where they found many scriptures, including the whole book of Isaiah, which was written prior to the time of Jesus. Continue to Ein Gedi, hike on a beautiful trail, Nahal David, the very trail David used when escaping the wrath of King Saul. Ascend to Jerusalem, check-in hotel and have buffet dinner at hotel.
Put on your walking shoes today as we enter the ancient gates of the Old City of Jerusalem. Begin the day at the Upper Room, where the Holy Spirit descended on the first Jewish Believers. Spend time in the Jewish Quarter including seeing all the preparations for building the Third Jewish Temple. Visit to the Western Wall, the retaining wall of the Second Temple and leave a note of prayer, see underground tunnel. Visit the City of David and enter Hezekiah’s tunnel. After lunches proceed to Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus spent His last hours, and said to His disciples “the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak”. Continue to the Garden of Tomb for Holy Communion; continue to the last Stations of the Via Dolorosa and shopping at the Arab market.
Start the day paying respect to the victims of the Holocaust with an in depth visit at Yad Vashem – National Memorial and Museum of the Holocaust, continue to the Israel Museum where the dead Sea Scrolls are stored. Continue to see the Bible Lands Museum, to better understand ancient cultures and how it affected the full story of salvation, from Abraham to David to Jesus, backed up with versus and archeological evidence. After lunch proceed to the city of David. Continue to Bethlehem, birth place of Jesus and Shepherd field.
Together, lets be One For Israel -- we begin this day partnering with a TOFI Project (www.tofisrael.org), Then, we visit a local Christian community living in a “Kibbutz like” community; see the life of Christian Israelis. Proceed to Emek Ha Ela, where David defeated Golliath, and see local caves where the ancient prophets lived. Visit Latrun and speak with lonely Soldiers. If time permits, continue to a prayer watch/worship service at a local Christian church in Israel. Return to hotel for a fare well dinner.
After breakfast, check-out, board your bus and be transferred to Ben Gurion airport. Board on your flight, cherish the sweet memories made in Israel and return back home.
